Supporting the delivery of a CITB fit for purpose

Background

In 2017, industry voted on whether CITB should continue to collect a Levy in the three-yearly consensus process. As a consensus federation, Build UK represented the views of its members and whilst a significant majority of members supported the continuation of the Levy, Build UK has made it clear in their letter to CITB that this support is subject to the implementation of a clear reform programme. In 2018 Build UK established its CITB Reform Steering Group, made up of representatives from all categories of Build UK membership. The group meets on a quarterly basis and its role is to monitor, support and ensure that CITB implements its published Business plan and that it delivers the expectations clearly set out by Build UK.
