Since 2015, all central Government departments are required to report their payment performance on a quarterly basis in accordance with Procurement Policy Note 05/15: Prompt Payment Policy and Reporting of Performance.
In 2017, the Duty to Report on Payment Practices and Performance came into force, requiring all large companies and large LLPs to publish information on their payment practices every six months.
Build UK collates the latest data on the payment performance of the largest companies in the construction sector and central Government in order to provide transparency for the industry. This has proved to be an essential catalyst for changing the industry culture around payment and our infographic shows the substantial improvement in performance that has been made.
