Build UK Members Recognised at Pride of Construction Awards
It was a hugely successful night for Build UK members at the CITB Pride of Construction Awards 2015 on 25 November with them scooping awards in more than half of the categories presented. The lavish ceremony, which took place at the Natural History Museum in London, celebrated the achievements of individuals and organisations that are inspiring the next generation and revitalising the image of the construction sector.
James Wates, chairman of both CITB and Build UK welcomed over 300 guests from across the industry to the awards which were hosted by comedian Alistair McGowan.
Congratulations to the following Build UK members who won awards on the night:
• Hero of Construction Award: Lucy Goldsmith, K Goldsmith and Daughters – PDA
• Personality of the Year: Tony Costello – Seddon
• Outstanding Employer – Large: Mulalley – INCA
• Industry Apprentice Employer of the Year – SME: Lacy Roofing Co Ltd – NFRC
• Outstanding Strategic Partner: Steeplejack and Lightning Protection Training Group – ATLAS
• Outstanding Training Provider: National Demolition Training Group/NDTG (Scotland) – NFDC
• Outstanding Health and Safety Skills: Lend Lease
Suzannah Nichol MBE, Chief Executive of Build UK and winner of the Personality of the Year Award in 2014, was delighted to present this year’s award to Tony Costello, Training and Development Manager at Build UK Contractor Member Seddon.
