Background

Did you know that at least one third of young people completing a construction further education course do not continue into employment within the industry?

The Bridge into Construction further education course aims to ensure that young people have the training and skills the industry needs, and employers have access to the next generation of talent.

Objective

Build UK and Collab Group’s, one year further education course, ‘Bridge into Construction’ programme to be rolled out in colleges nationwide, enabling employers direct access to the next generation of apprentices.

Outcome

Bridge into Construction will deliver a project-based teaching style to provide a consistent level of training and competence to equip students with the introductory skills they need to embark on an apprenticeship in construction.
