Build UK welcomes ICE membership
Build UK has welcomed the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) as an Alliance member. As the professional association for civil engineers, ICE brings its over 92,000 members who are helping to deliver construction projects across the country.
Chief Executive of Build UK, Suzannah Nichol MBE, said:
“The industry is so much stronger when it uses the resources it has to work together and I am absolutely delighted that the ICE, a hugely respected Institution has joined Build UK. By combining forces we can demonstrate how industry organisations can play to their individual strengths whilst capitalising on the shared ambition of a better performing, more productive and highly talented industry.”
Nick Baveystock, Director General of ICE, said:
“We are pleased to have our relationship with Build UK formally recognised by becoming an Alliance member. Our shared passion in seeing the success of the construction sector and how it enhances and improves people’s lives, puts us in good company.
“We look forward to working together to unite the industry and work towards a more productive and sustainable future for construction.”
ICE is the second institution to join Build UK, following the Chartered Institute of Building earlier this year.
